Kev needs a date night with Stumpy - preferably a takeaway meal from his local pub (again ahead of his time)

Throwing out the old confirmation bias line. He perfected that here. A friend of mine got involved in the thread last night. He was messaging me fuming at Kev. I had to give a chuckle. A good Laois man too @myboyblue

He reached wonderful levels of self righteousness and smug here.
Would you ever fuck off.
There is a difference between using a word (a word used in slang where i am from for 40 years or more) and either supporting, ignoring or failing to apologise for a lad having his legs blown off.
Now seriously, go and get fucked and take your knickers with you.
Its a choice to be offended. I worked with Downs Syndrome (and other disabilities) most of my adult life. I never make them feel bad about themselves. I grew up next door to a Downs girl. And i lived them all.
Tgere are alot worse things going on to be “offended” about.
Without getting offended for others. Which is insane.
I don’t have to adhere to anybody elses made up script of words.
Now kindly shut up and fuck off or talk about the subject at hand.
In my culture using the N word is not used. In others it is freely. I kisten to Hip-Hop and Rap.
I do not get offended by the use of the N word there.
Grow a pair
I am well able to adjust my terminology.
I could go thru 8 distinctly different people and backgrounds in 4 hours of 30 min sessions varying in all sorts of ages and sensitivities.
Believe me i’m a dab hand at it now.
He was bang on there you’d have to say.

Dessie Mythen there too and some other Wexford based coaches. Even Conor Mortimor had a pop too.
Its very much now a case of not people Kev knows, but people who know Kev.

Fantastic stuff by Kev, do you reckon he gets a kick out of it? I might ask him if he feels the same way about tennis players hitting the ball against a wall?

If he comes back with a measured response now he could still win the day… I’m rooting for him anyway.
A lot of sense in what’s he’s saying to be fair.
He is taking on all comers fair play to him.
I think it’s just kev being kev tbh. I doubt he thinks strategically.

His point, I suspect, is that first touch on a wall is great, but it ain’t the same as doing it with some ape flailing a hurl around your ears and climbing all over you at the same time. 🤷

Didn’t know Kev was a boxer?
Who did he turn up for a scrap with?
Didn’t he fight the @dublin_bay_prawn one time
Bandage:
Not really a great story but I copped he had become involved with Cork camogie early enough. He casually dropped in a few comments about being at league camogie games, saying the standard was very high and the strength and conditioning was much improved etc etc. I don’t think he explicitly said on here he was involved, until it became useful to cite in TFK arguments a year or two later. “I won an All Ireland, what did you ever achieve?” But he went through a phase of touting the Cork camogie management team for the Cork senior hurling management role. A gas man.
I remember way before that, when he was first talking about his coaching ambitions, I said to him that he was very dismissive of other opinions at times, being strong minded and confident in your view was good etc etc. But to get buy in from players in this day and age that it might be no harm to be open minded, canvas opinion and accept feedback. He told me to fuck off and that he couldn’t help being right all the time.
The best thing about him being involved with Cork Camogie was when they won the All Ireland and the captain was accepting the cup she thanked the S&C coach and named a completely different Kevin.
