People who cook slow

Yes, bacon.

A lamb curry. Turned before I left the gaff at 7 this morning. Walked in at 630 this evening to a savage dinner. A tonne of veg some lidl lamb and a lloyd grossman sauce. Going for seconds now

Is that an allowable cheat? Mrs. Moth used a green saffron sachet recently, after I told her one of my best e-pals, @ChocolateMice, invented the stuff. It was bloody good, but was backed by creamed coconut, and other such store cupboard essentials.

Thatā€™s an excellent recipe ironmoth, I fucking love butter chicken.
One (not so) small detail, you omitted to mention splitting open the cardamom pods. Thatā€™s how you get the flavor out of them, although you do fuck them away after cooking.

Well spotted! I give them a bash with the heel of my hand on the side of the knife, or in the pestle and mortar. However, I need to correct the ā€œdiscardā€ bit - I fish the little bastards out and eat them like a filthy roaster.

@Tassotti @Massey @KinvarasPassion @Brimmer_Bradley - any of you chaps try the honey and garlic chicken recipe yet?

Not yet @ironmoth. Had a bowl of multi grain hoops for the supper, and was lucky to have time to eat them.

I just spent the last half hour putting some form of curry in the slow cooker. Iā€™ve no idea how itā€™s going to play out. Iā€™ve a half kilo of lamb in there with the usual veg. Iā€™ve massaman curry paste, garam masala, star anise, nutmeg, cheap lidl curry powder, fenugreek and fucking lentils in it too. Then thereā€™s tomatoes and some wine. Yes @fagan, wine. Iā€™m fucking excited.

Thatā€™s some fucking mish mash hodge podge of a pot - having said that, itā€™ll probably taste fantastic and youā€™ll get the balls sucked off you tonight. That should make up for the horrendous shits that will be in the post tomorrow.

Now, walk away from the slow cooker and donā€™t touch that lid until 6 bells

I take it this means massive amounts of celery, with potato, turnips, and carrots cut into huge slices. That seems to be the way we roll on TFK. :ronnyroar:

I forgot about tfk policy! I tend to dice the veg pretty fine so the kids canā€™t identify or object to it. Iā€™ll drop some mushrooms and some peppers in it at about 3 and I might pop some Coconut milk in about 10 mins before serving. The possibilities are endless.

Throw the lot in at 3. 10 mins before and it could have disastrous ramifications. You, sir, are a pioneer - the Heston Blumenthal of the slow cooker world. Do you have a food science degree? Even an honorary one will suffice according to @glasagusban.

Thank you kind sir. The coconut milk works well about 10 mins before serving. You donā€™t want it cooking for hours. Just warmed up pretty much.
