Players Who Had It But Mysteriously Lost It

Yes, I saw that, he’s due back to Cardiff in early 2010 so it looks good for him.

Always thought John Harley would have had a better career. When he started at Chelsea he looked like a lad that had great promise. I think he’s playing in the championship now but have no idea if he’s anyway decent these days.

could well be wrong but he had a fairly dab leg break that pretty much fucked him up

Stilyan Petrov. MON’s first signing and I thought at the time it was a great one. His legs seem to have gone completely. The player I remember at Glasgow was full of dash and invention particularly around the opposition box.

So you do watch the SPL?

That Kakuta lad looks handy, where is he from?.

Not sure Zaki ever had it, but he’s definitely lost it!

Zaki in amazing rant against Portsmouth identities

23.11.09 |

Egypt striker Amr Zaki has all but wrecked his chances of playing again in England an amazing rant.

Zaki has ruined any slim chance he had of moving to Portsmouth by insisting he will not play alongside players of Israeli or Algerian descent.

Zaki’s comments come on the back of Egypt’s controversial World Cup Play-Off clash against Nadir Belhadj and Hassan Yebda’s Algeria which the Pharaoh’s lost 1-0.

Zaki is quoted by the Portsmouth News saying: "I refused their offer before, but now joining Portsmouth is no longer an option for me.

"After Portsmouth signed an Israeli player (Tal Ben Haim) and also hired an Israeli football director (Avram Grant), a possible move was ruled out.

“On top of that, no way could I play at Portsmouth with an Algerian (Nadir Belhadj) within in their ranks.”

Think he’s the French lad they tapped up illeagally that all the transfer hullaballoo is over Link.

Ritchie Partridge togged out on the right for Kettering Town in their 1-1 home draw with Leeds in the FA Cup. I remember when he was the next big hope about 6 or 7 years ago.

tripe, Irish murderpool fans desperate to have an Irish player play for them built him up but the reality was that he was a reserve team player

Bald and bucktoothed?

Freddie Ljungberg

michael van gerwen

Did Van Gerwen ever have it? If he lost it i would say it’s probably got something to do with beer so no great mystery there. A better example IMHO would be Wayne Mardle.

MVG was incredible as a 16/17 year old. he won the world masters (when it meant something), did a nine darter versus taylor in holland and started favourite (close to evens) for his debut in BDO. he was knocked out in 1st round and switched to PDC where he has’nt lived up to the heights. he was skinny as a 16/17 year old but has piled on the pounds in last few years.
