They say the internet killed journalism in this country but I dunno…
I can’t warm to Cooney at all. He’s just the archetype of the Irish football journalist who thinks they know more than everyone else, especially those who’ve won something in the game. “Sorry Giovanni, I know you’ve won the league in four countries, won the seire a 8 times, won every trophy available in Europe and are in both the AC Milan and Italian football halls of Fame, but I know better”
James Stephen’s v Tulloran relegation play off in Kilkenny according to Dalo’s podcast with a potential return for Tommy Walsh. That must be news to Tulloran and Tommy.
They consistently talk some scutter and bluff outside their own counties. Daly has a handle on Clare, Landers is able to regurgitate what he hears from others about Cork. TJ knows Limerick and Galway. After that they are clueless.
It was pretty cat, surely they or some other researcher should have all previous results in front of them and be able to namecheck these. Dalo spent about 20 minutes bemoaning Clarecastle in the Clare intermediate but there was no mention of Tipperary, Kilkenny or Galways second grades.
Those counties are not represented. Great detail about Cork though.
History Ireland pod discussion from lecnic on the civil war is very good.
Could you send a link ?
What it where is lecnic?
I’ve listened to a few of Molloy’s ones. Hard to fault them
Make an effort at least. Something about McIlroy maybe.
FAO of @Horsebox - you really should have a listen to these.

I see Shane “Saint” Stapleton has gainful employment with a PR firm, according to Linkedin. He was a bit late to the game with his podcast effort and I’d imagine was finding it hard to make a living from it
Woolie has a monopoly on that market. Saints Pods/Youtube videos were too long and often had 20-30 minutes dedicated to sections like top 10 club rankings or best left hand side.
His overall knowledge of club games was very poor compared to Verney who clearly had his ear to the ground when it came to the BOICMC. I didn’t mind his mannerisms but could see why his manner wouldn’t endear him to everyone. References to wrestling, soccer & snooker also become very tiresome if your a regular listener and eventually I switched off.
Fair play to him for giving it a go, media is a tough business but the PR firm 9-5 might put more bread on the table and that’s all that matters.
I enjoyed Our Game all the same. Presume he’s going to knock it on the head so? I thought someone here said that Verney told them that it would be back in the new year for intercounty.
Woolie getting Christy O’Connor was genius. An encyclopaedic knowledge of the Club scene around the country and very easy listen to.
Hi guys, can someone recommended any horse racing politics podcasts?
