The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Christ above… Some of the greatest lyrics ever penned accompanied by some of the greatest riffs… You’re a douche bag of the highest order.
@Spidey - Another douche bag— How often are Arcade Fire on the radio anyway? Their first album is as good as music gets.
I can only assume you bastards are all on a ballhop here with some of the shite being spouted- The Beatles, The Smiths, Bruce Springsteen… Either way, you’ve gone and upset my back.
I said what I said. Arcade Fire are for muldoons who think they should like indie music. Gash.
What?!!
Say again - what?!!
Stereophonics.
Artic Monkeys (I realise that they have been mentioned already)
I keep hearing how great they are. I haven’t heard their stuff anything near fully but I have heard a few of their songs and there is absolutely nothing in them to make me want to listen to any more.

Listen to their newest album. It’s excellent.
Go get your fucking shine box tommy
Suede
In fact, I think it was the NME 90’s poll that placed them at the top which kickstarted everyone’s Top 100 lists here.
The Music Press fawned over them and I always thought they were pretty shite.
Agree re. Coldplay and can’t understand how Snow Patrol are taken seriously at all.
Coldplay
U2
Pulp
The cunting Verve
James
Chas and Dave are deadly
That flounce from Arcade Fire would give his left bollock to write a tune as musically proficient and catchy as “Gertcha”

Only girls take them seriously. They’re a deluxe version of The Coronas.

Snow Patrol are great. They actually have songs
Suede is a great call.
Never saw anything in them at all.
Damien Rice.

One good song - Animal Nitrate
The Cranberries went touring with them as a support act in the States and became huge and Suede did nothing
A lot of bands though are chosen as zeitgeist by music press in UK
Suede have a couple of good tunes: “Thrash”, em,…the last single was decent. No liking for the stuff with Bernard Butler. Twas all hype at the time as US grunge was so popular. Butler was hailed as the next Johnny Marr and Anderson as some kind of androgynous Bowie/Morrissey mega-hybrid by a desperate UK music press.
Manic Street Preachers
Have you ever listened to “The Holy Bible”?
