Kelliher is 22 in fairness. He could sit on the bench for 3 more years there then move and still have an excellent career into his mid 30s. I donāt think he should be in a huge rush to move unless it is to a half decent club to be first choice at this point. His reputation and ability to get a decent move is probably better being second choice at Liverpool than being a championship keeper

By waiting 3 years Iām not sure heād get any better offers then than he will now. Heāll still essentially be a novice at 25

I didnt think Ronaldo deserved a red for a bare push.
I thought that in the final 20 minutes we gave the ball away in situations where a team like Italy never would in 100 years.

He needed to put on Molumby far sooner, that proved fatal.
This has been a constant theme under Spockās tenure. Iām sure it happened under other managers as well but it is very evident under him. Maybe the lack of minutes at club level or the rejigged calendar/tighter international window contribute to it along with other factors

Last night was alway going to see that to be honest. Portugal were always going to have huge amount of ball and our players were going to be doing a lot of chasing .

Arzebejain becomes a huge game. If we donāt win i think Kenny will have to go. Some dinosaur like Chris Hughton in charge then. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
On the 84th minute mark there was movement on the Irish bench for subs to be introduced.
He then made the substitutions with regular time just up.
That was a major blunder. He needed to make those changes earlier and singularly to eat up as much time as possible and take the sting out of Portugal.
Portugal used the full allotment of subs too where as we used only 4? Whatever lads think about Hourihane, Arter or Horgan it was madness not to introduce fresh legs considering the pressure the team was under.
With the current squad available I firmly believe a better manager gets the result by using the tools available better and obviously riding the luck train too.
Is Chris Hughton that bad? Iād always have accepted him. Heās got a far better CV than Kenny surely?

Right now I would be happy to beat Az & draw with Serbia after giving it a go . Like it or not Serbia at this juncture have better players than us .
They said on commentary he had been trying to introduce subs and they werenāt accepted.
Also, very unfair not to give him some credit for a really good performance and say a better manager would have won it.

Hughton very fairly overrated. A gentleman but a very middling manager.
If and when Kennyās time is up we need to go further afield for a manager - someone with international football experience and a clear footballing philosophy. Ange Postecoglou would be my choice
