I also sense an element of him crafting his edgy takes in advance, it’s like he’s addicted to the attention and he can knock a day or two out of the arguments in his replies. Its fairly desperate stuff all things considered.

Yeah the trans stuff was definitely in that space. And his first tweet didn’t get any reaction so he had to double down and go for it again.
It’s a pity. I recall him making contact to ask us to take it easy on a certain Irish journalist many years ago. He’d be ashamed of his empathy and humanity now. And he’s well past saving it seems.
