Ewan is a truth teller. His work exposing the Dublin doping situation has destroyed thousands of salt of the earth types and will be judged very kindly by history.
I do find it very amusing on twitter when someone writes to him ‘i don’t agree with you on other things but you’re bang on the money here’ when they simply failed to agree with something they have a vested interest in, but think themselves forward thinking in now agreeing where they don’t. People are morons to summarize.

He isn’t a truth teller. He might have been once upon a time but he just start making up bizarre lies about various people. He’s basically a really poor mans paul Kimmage.
What lies did he make up about people?
He made up bizarre stuff about Jamie heaslip. He quickly shat it and deleted the accusations.
Ewan had a podcast I’m not sure if he’s still doing it but he had the head of hri on it shortly after Cheltenham.
I have never heard somebody get such a hole opening in their lives as Ewan was systematically taken apart. For a Finish Ewan asked your man would he take a wage cut. It was incredibly humiliating.
At one point Ewan looked to be an excellent journalist but he’s turned into a mentalist that nobody takes seriously anymore. It’s a pity.

I think you’re over estimating HRI if you think no one takes him seriously based on that. Ewans problem is that he thinks he’s a cynic but he really isn’t. He expects too much from people, for people to act honourably and speak out against clear injustice, like for example with the Dublin doping. Then he loses the rag when his often justifiable outrage is met with indifference. But people are self serving and self delusional in the main he just doesn’t realise or accept this. Especially Irish people.

It’s just an example of many. He runs out the classic line: “I know more but I can’t say “ about various people which is a deliberate ploy to try to destroy peoples reputations and create rumours about them. It isn’t the actions of a reputable journalist.
He has only himself to blame that when he does make really good points nobody listens or else they are easily undermined by his previous actions.
