Post Recession Tiger Largesse and Excess

The new wing on @Juhniallio’s family home is spectacular.

I forgot about that.

I actually think it’s not the worst. It’s distinctive. As you said a bit of TLC and it could be somewhat decent looking. It’s a landmark. You’d wonder if they could light it up or something

Sure they use it as a billboard for their campaigns.

Do you think you are talking to one of the IFSC Ra brigade, why do you think I’d give a damn who built those buildings?

Fairly weird reaction to me just pointing out that you’re bracketing Trinity College and the Customs House as bland.

Look you’re windmilling away here. Point out where I said trinity and the customs House are bland there like a good chap.

Prettier than a white flag.

just when one would have thought we could move on from the scandal of the redesignation of the gable side of the @Juhniallio family HQ during the rainbow coalition era, the saga takes another unwelcome turn.
as this forum will attest to - I deal in facts. I resent baseless tittle tattle, conjecture and idle speculation, so I will lay out the facts I am aware of:

  • within the last month a centrist politician was seen leaving the aforementioned residence
  • the same centrist politician in an elected official with voting rights on the local council, and has made inputs on planning applications in the past.
  • the same politician is known to have benefitted from the redesignation of the gable wing of said residency
  • @Juhniallio has befriended a local high net worth individual, who has recently achieved and acted upon planning permission for a sea facing attic window to the front of his roof, this is unprecedented in the area. this development is 30 metres from the Juhy family HQ
  • @Juhniallio has adopted this HNW individual as a sparring partner at a local boxing emporium
  • the precedence established by the sea facing attic window planning controversy has opened the way for other houses in the area to also apply for similar
  • the Juhy HQ is known to be actively investigating a reversal of the gable side redesignation of the rainbow coalition era to take advantage of a front facing attic with a sea view along with an application for a small vending machine bay

It is nor for me to judge, I can only present the forum with the facts.

A pretty stark picture when you join the dots on this one…

Holy fuck.

i appreciate this forum is no stranger to revelations that will shock it to its very core but I think even the most hardened poster worn down by cynicism and numbed by repeated sordid scandal will recoil in horror at what i have been made aware of in recent hours.

upon moderator advice the below has been redacted to exclude posters names

you may be aware of a poster whos family home was the subject of a planning scandal during the years of the Rainbow Coalition whereby the gable end of said dwelling was reconstituted as the rear of the same dwelling allowing normal planning rules to be subverted.
The same dwelling did have plans for the extension drawn up and submitted as part of a planning adviosry notice (rather than a planning permisson request) . This notice usually covers work done to the rear of a house but in this case the extension was to what was originally the side of the house.
I have had sight of said planning advisory notice, the architects name on the submisson seemed familiar but i couldn’t remember why. Listening to a radio broadcast in recent hours i now know why the name was familiar.
Upon moderator advice I am not at liberty to disclose the name of the (then) young architect.
Safe to say that the slaying of an innocent woman was not his only violation of the law.

I just roughly worked it out, and Galway spent 2 million quid on 50 games last year. That’s roughly 40 thousand euros a game. Mental if you think of it.

Sure at least they’ve plenty of medals to show for it

They have indeed, but take Limerick who basically have one team. They must be spending north of 200k per game.

That sounds sordid enough. I’m no prude but id say hang the cunts if thats true. Could you give us a timeline of the events to clarify things.
