I only truly became a man during my 2 years in west Limerick, the life skills and friendships I developed there have stood to me in all aspects of life, be it sport, my professional life, my personal life. I attribute most of my success to that 24 month period in west Limerick.

Itās not a bar I likeā¦ Three partitions would really change it into a grand spotā¦ Pints are actually ok in there once you donāt let one of the young lads pour your pint. Not sure of exact price but you get a few coins back from a 10 note for two. Iād hazard about 3.30 a pint

Douglas village is a grand spot at Christmas, all those pubs will be heaving with home for the christmas types for 6 or 7 nights after Christmas, Iād be surprised if I didnāt get down to Johnnos and the South County myself.
Never been to the Mount Oval, I remember a steakhouse opened to much fanfare years ago, did it ever last?
I worked in Douglas for a year about 20 years ago. Loved the place . Used be a proper village feel to the place . Think they have lost that a bit now. Even John Os is done up. Well served with decent pubs alright though reallyā¦

I live in Mount Oval and Iād say I have been there twice in the last year. It has a weatherspoons feel to it. Soulless place. Everyone in that Mount Oval village is in negative equity as they were built mid noughties so maybe thats why. The only reason I go to Douglas is for the occasional KCās. Its an absolute bottleneck at the best of times. If I had to pick a pub to drink in there it would be the South County.
