Premier League 2021-2022 (the Footix thread)

Did footballers ever get flu before? Why weren’t games called off for Flu outbreaks?

COVID-19 has cast its shadow over the 18th and last round of La Liga games before the Christmas holidays, with both Real Madrid and Valencia hit by the virus. Real Madrid confirmed that Luka Modric and Marcelo had tested positive for the virus on December 15, and it is possible more cases could be detected ahead of Sunday’s (Dec 19) game against a struggling Cadiz.

I hear Liverpool have the lowest rate in the league.

Spurs and Liverpool on today?

Everton v Leicester is the only one off afaik

3 games on by all accounts pal

Nice timing too. Will be able to watch the leinster club final and then straight over to the soccer

What players are out?

I presume the three from the other night.

The others rumoured are Henderson, Salah and Thiago.

Lovely hurling

Lowest rate of Covid? Testament to the wonderful advise from Jurgen Klopp when he urged his players to get vaccinated. Trailblazers in every facet of life.

Lowest rate of vaccination according to my sources Merseyside

Don’t mind the lads winding you up mate.

Thiago and Hendo probably out today.

Mid three of Milner, Naby Lad and the Ox by the process of elimination

Are Spurs missing anyone? I envisage this being a very tough game with Conte there now.

I don’t think Newcastle will help our cause against City like they used to do when Rafa was in charge there.

Spurs have had their last few games off with Covid, so I don’t know who is out.

A draw wouldn’t be the worst result there today
