Premier League 2022/23

Like the lads said, West Ham will win. And I don’t often say that.

I’m going to have to sit on that one and blow some bubbles at 7/10.
Keep the opinions flowing.

Really impactful few minutes by Jack Grealish.
Van Dijk absolutely dawdling there

Rodri should be off

Clear yellow card foul when already on a yellow

Should have been a black card for a cynical haul down

Greals vs TAA getting heated

You’d rarely see a second yellow given for a cheap foul like that.

Liverpool were on a dangerous break. The foul was from behind, a pull back and entirely deliberate. Yellow card all day, the type of foul that “Manchester City” specialise in.

Miles from goal with a load of players between him and goal.
If Rodri wasn’t on a yellow he’d have got one.
Refs will rarely give a yellow for that if a player is already in a yellow.
I think that was his first foul after the initial yellow so he go away with it.

His first yellow was for a replica foul only a few minutes beforehand. They’re trained to foul inside the opposition half if the high press hasn’t worked & a break is on. That incident ticked all the boxes, as Liverpool had played through their press & were breaking into their half with numbers. I was surprised he was dumb enough to make the exact same foul & was equally surprised he got away with it.

There was a goal on on the break and the chance was lost because of that cynical foul. It doesn’t matter how you foul somebody as long as it’s deliberate. What Rodri did was the classic fouler’s act of trying to dress up a cynical foul as “awkwardness”, he knew exactly what he was doing.

It was a cheap enough foul miles away from goal. His first foul after the initial yellow. Because of that I think he dodged the second yellow.
I have often heard refs say he didn’t think such and such foul warranted a second yellow to have a player sent off.
Did it reach the threshold.

I am not arguing with you I just knew he would not get a second yellow meaning a red for it. Seen it too many times.

If the foul was 10 or 15 yards inside the city half with the break on then I think it would be given as a second yellow.

How are Liverpool handling Haaland?

Nevermind, see he’s not playing. Advantage Liverpool.

Smashing banter there from Pep on the line after the goal.

COMS rocking to Bring It On Down

BRING IT ON FUCKING DOWN

VvD not at the pace of it again
