Price of a Haircut

Thirty for the hair and beard for me today as well. It was a very thorough job in fairness

Do you splash out for the Christmas but do a DIY for the rest of the year?

That’s more or less it I suppose. Last weekend would have been the next weekend in the cycle for me to cut my hair but I was away and I was beginning to look a bit shaggy. I have a full diary next weekend as well so if I didn’t move soon there’d be a touch of the Robinson Crusoes about me which wouldn’t do with a couple of Christmas engagements coming up.

Every Cunt here must have a beard at this stage?

The confident guys here don’t need one.

Same lads having a pop at women getting a bit of aesthetic assistance

I have no beard. I just got my hair cut for 17e (20 after tip). There was barely any need but the brother is getting married tomorrow, i need to look half decent and my own shaver just died. He did my eyebrows too which i was uncomfortable with.

At least he didn’t do your eyebrow. Every cloud and all that

Wife told me about this great kids hairdresser in the Pavilion in Swords. Took the two children today to tidy up the locks for Christmas. Told the lady that 3/4 of an inch will do. Both kids done in less than ten minutes and not a tear in sight until I saw the bill

€43 - mugged off good and proper. Will be buying a pudding bowl in the January sales

The lassie is on 250€ an hour. Probably paying 100 a day for the chair. That’s nice twine if you can do it

It kept me going to the same place as a younger man for the best part of 5 years. Lucille.

Perfect name even.

Bit of an overreaction?

Certainly lead to some raised eyebrows

They charge €21.50 for a kids haircut?

there was a barber in town in Limerick Patsys. It was across from Sexton St. CBS an all boys school. You’d go across for the hair cut after school and there’d be a queue for miles back around by Stevie Gleesons. You’d play roulette, you’d either get Patsy, who had massive honkers and wasn’t shy about putting them in your face or you’d get one of the gay lads who worked there. The tension sitting and waiting. She had some business going. You’d see more than one uniform there too. Lads were coming from all over the City
