Got the haircut done earlier for 10euro. It was a noble cut, the lad that cuts it gives it a good 15-20mins of his attention. He even asked would i like my eyebrows done, i told him to plough away. Happy out with it…
Where was this, dunph…Very unusual for a barbers to be open on a monday
I suppose half the cunts on here don’t even tip when they get a good cut. I always tip a fiver minimum. The only time I haven’t recently was when I was between barbers and this fat bitch roared “next” at me even though I was obviously getting up to move towards the chair anyway. Her attitude changed when she touched my luxurious hair but it was too late.
Is it? I thought most barbers would be open on a Monday. Which barbers in Limerick do you know of which are closed on a Monday?
nearly all of them*…As do all hair salons
- established barbers, don’t know what these fly by night foreign barbers
Anyone know any barbers in the centre of Dublin who don’t try small talk.
I must give a go to that fella on middle street so WTB.
The last cut I got was horrendus. I had an appointment in Athenry I was early for, and not to be lad to waste any idle time I said I’ll get the hair cut before the appointment. So I walked the town and found the only barber shop that appeared to be open.
A middle aged woman who reminded me of a younger Catherine Nevin seemed to own and operate the place. By god she went to town on me. Jesus H Christ, she was a freak… she told me how I should wear, rather than asking me what I fcuking wanted. There was no pattern to what she was at from what I could see. She also came very close to me in a non hair dresser type way on a few occassions. I thought she was going to off her blouse at one stage.
I handed over my tenner and walked out of the place, feeling literally half raped. As I was going out the door a man in his 60’s walked in against me with a smile on his face… I saluted him and went about my business.
What conditioner you using these days WTB?
I settled on fructis a good while back, fran, and I’m pretty happy with it.
After experimenting with Herbal Essenses and Timotte I finally settled on Pantene recently enough and have been delighted with the results. It’s good to alternate every so often though
I paid €18 for a haircut today in the IFSC.
Having been over here for the last nine months, today i have finally found myself a competent barber. I have been through probably 4-5 wasters and even persevered with one fella for about three months as i didn’t think there was any other stylist near me. But today whilst exploring different alleys and boulevards i came across a real gem of a place, run by one man. A real old school place, there was an elderly man getting serviced before me. This barber was quick, decisive, confident and above all skilled. He had the hands of an angel. We even indulged in some friendly chat and banter with none of the awkward small talk you usually get. This man knew when and where to draw the line and i’m sure would shut up if he went too far. I’m very pleased with myself today. It’s very important to find a barber you are happy with and have confidence in…
Well done Dunph, glad to see your French is coming along
He had more English than i French, luckily…
How many haircuts would you get over the course of three months??
About 7-8. I have rampant hair growth.
Edit: I’m getting my figures wrong. Probably 6, so on a forthnightly basis.
How much did it cost Dunph?
I recently spent €22 on a haircut and I was very happy with it.
€16. So pricey enough by Limerick standards anyway…
Limerick in France you mean?
