Where are you? I was in my barbers this morning, Blades Hackett’s in limerick, for my first cut in I suppose two months. Iskander was saying trade was very busy the first two days they were back with the fellas who were panicking that it’d be short-lived and getting their haircuts in, but he said it was more relaxed today. I booked it last night and there were loads of slots free today, in and out with no waiting, lovely job.
Booked in for the Zero fade on Saturday morning
In for the much needed chop tomorrow. I’ve booked the Christmas one for the Saturday before Christmas to beat the rush
Out Gaillimh. Gonna have to take a punt on a Latvian recommendation.
He landed a lovely virtual lucky 15 bet for 600 quid at lunch time, the last fella came third!
Bollocks? We’d often be talking about the horses alright, the real ones not the cartoon ones. He laments the fact he can’t go to Limerick races at Christmas as per his tradition.
Yup he sent me message earlier, he is a terror for the virtuals. Some man to pick out big price winners in the proper racing too!
This is explosive. If @Smark is making idle chit chat with barbers then I will have the question everything.
The difference is he doesn’t push idle chit chat on me but I hadn’t been in there in so long I felt it right to be a small bit friendly at the start before closing my eyes and having a doze. He’s not a stranger I go to this fella the whole time, he’s top class at judging your mood on the day and the length of hair you want off without even asking.
Two haircuts before Xmas?
I’m blessed with thick hair. In normal times every 3/4 weeks. This pandemic has a massive flaw of hair growth. I got a new badge for work in July.i look fresh off a halting site with the job I did myself
Haircut today. Booked the Christmas cut for the 23rd.
A luxurious head of hair needs regular expert maintenance.
how luxurious can it get if getting shorn every 2 weeks? Cant be short back and sides going on if every 2 weeks getting cut?
3 weeks.
I’d get to 4 but it gets woolly mammothesque by then.
It’s a price worth paying.
I haven’t got mine cut in 2 months and I look something from the 60s gone wrong. I’ve big massive lamb chop sideburns that I’m afraid to touch
Booked in there for December 21st for a Christmas trim mate. It’ll be a quick turnaround (c 2.5 months) since my last cut so I won’t bother getting much off this time.
Mine is around 7 weeks old but got it cut shorter than normal due to Lockdown. I reckon I’ll get the rest of the year out of it.
2 at the sides. 3 on the top. Job is oxo
I let him use a clippers on the sides last time round mate for a chance just to get that extra bit of time out of it
