Price of a Haircut

Is that a meath/louth accent?

Donegal

a very soft one. Great to see someone take pride in their business and craft

Aye, it is very soft. And, yes fully agree on the craft comment. He’s a gentleman to boot.

How much is a fucking haircut these days?

I was paying €20 for a hair and beard cut (and to consider what’s involved in my hair a “cut” is stretching it).

Anyway rocked in today to the usual place, saw a sign about price increases at the far side but took no notice, thinking €22, or €24 or something.

€30 fucking yoyos. Mugged right off

€20 for a haircut here in Cork. That would be standard.

Without a beard?

Yes. I don’t have, nor will I ever have, a beard.

€20 no beard in this place as well, seems like extortion. My hair takes 5 minutes.

5 minutes - bragging now. Any hairdresser worth their salt would trim your wisps in 2 flat.

That’s true, they make a meal out of it to try to justify the cost.

I like a quick scissors cut. Went to a Grafton barber place and your man was annoying me with how slow he was. Took a half hour at least. Swore I’d never go back but three weeks later it still looked like a newish cut. Got the Chrimbo cut done last week and was happy to get the same chap. Brought Rascal with me. €37 for the two of us.

Another Cunt with a beard

Ye should cut your own hair and beard chaps. It’s a Gamechanger.

€21 here in JC’s in Caherdavin.
€26 for the extra berd.

I’m saving myself 442 quid a year at those prices.

I wouldn’t be going over that often.
But it’s a nice few bob alright…

I got a fine haircut the other day, 12 quid. I gave her 20 and she gave me her phone number

You hoping for some scissoring?
