Price of a Pint
What are your thoughts on Kelly’s bblb? Don’t think I like it. Still seems to be getting the Living Room crowd.

Was drinking in Spirit Store in Dundalk over the weekend where it was 4 euro for a pint of the nicest Guinness I’ve ever had. Terrific.
Possibly the only Green Party pub in Ireland.

Mark Deery (is that his name) was actually knocking about. My mate’s sister who is affiliated to the Green Party asked me if I wanted to meet him. My reply was something along the lines of: eh, no.

That’s the name alright. Nice enough bloke apparently.

Interesting fact: he was at the opening of Dundalk tennis club at the weekend also. Would have been nice to meet him twice if you’d known.

I was drinking in several different establishments in Waterford and I can’t remember the price of the booze. I think I got change back from a tenner for 2 pints though, which isn’t so bad. The locals in one boozer were giving out about “Dublin governments putting up the taxes on drink” and that kind of thing. Told them to get to fook.

21 months after our protest commenced, The 51 has reduced the price of a pint back to 5. Thank you to everyone who played their part in the campaign particularly cesc4 and Jugs.

Fantastic news

But isn’t it really the Minister for Finance who has done that? Fuck you 51, fuck you. Ryans Beggars Bush forever.

Yes, you’re correct. Guinness still 3.75 down there apparently.

I was in Hogan’s in Meanus* last night and they were heavily promoting Beamish, three free pints of the stuff for everyone and then 3.40 for a pint thereafter. A welcome promotion in these harsh times.

It doesn’t matter Beamish is still is the poor relation of stouts :pint:

Incredibly I actually paid for a couple of Beamish after my free tokens ran out. It galled me to be buying a Cark product but still, it tasted alright.

The Beamish is far superior to Murphy’s.

:clap:Although my last pint (well 50cl anyway) of Murphy’s was in a dimly lit cavern in Saint Malo. I only drank it because the Pelforth tap was broken. Ten minutes of pain trying to knock that gargle back in front of a French barmaid obsessed with Irish culture and what she thought was a well poured drink.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout and O’Hara’s Plain are the best Irish stouts in my book.

chalk it down. :thumbsup::barcasmile:

Tis in my arse

Beamish is much nicer than Guinness if you’re doing a beef and stout stew.
