There’s a big decision to be made after the 4th and 8th pint is the only problem

Is the place busier as a result? Cracking deal

Not sure to be honest, I wasn’t there but apparently they were very happy with last week.

I had 4 pints of Moretti for €15. You’d be lucky to get 2 for that in Dublin today.

Reardens in Cork are doing any 4 pints or bottles for €22 up until 10pm most nights. If there’s only 2 of ye you can pay for the 4 in advance and they’ll mark it on the receipt which is sound enough.

Cork superfan Sombrero Cyril is a big fan of it.

How much is a pint in there normally

Haven’t been in a while but it’d be at least €7 anyway for a Coors. It’s €7.20 next door in Dwyers for a Coors.

Do you have to order them together and drink them all at once?

No. Pay 15, get a pint and 3 tokens.

Interesting concept.

A pub is a volume game.
Interesting to have 4 for 22.

You get Guinness for 5.50 in East Limerick pubs.

Not really sure what the correct thread for this is but have a question to pose for the esteemed members of this forum.

I’m looking for the best small towns / villages to with a couple of pubs with a few additional criteria:

  • within 2 hours of Limerick ideally
  • not impossible to get to
  • ideally, have at least 3 pubs that would be open midweek, from mid-afternoon onwards
  • not out-and-out tourist spots but not places that are completely unwelcome to outsiders either

I know rural pubs have had a tough time recently and the days of smaller villages having multiple pubs open during the day are rare enough now. Not talking about the likes of the cities or Dingle, Killarney, those kind of places- somewhere slightly off the beaten track.

Any suggestions?

Bonus points if they are easily accessible by public transport as unlikely to be a designated driver.
