Pubs relying on students will take a hit, pubs relying on tourism will take a hit. Pubs relying on Sport will take a hit, Pubs relying on music will take a hit etc etc. Many won’t survive but those who do make it to St Patricks Day 2022 will be in a good place

I’d feel sorry for staff more tbh, the venture was mad to begin with as he’d no scale to work with.
I like small pubs but when the owner wants bands in there and to pack it out it’s a no no for me.
Okay when I was 25 but not now. Need a seat and a small bit of comfort and space etc.
That’s why I’d feel the smaller rural pub will be okay, be tough to police those places too.

Nows are chance to become European with our drinking , have it with a meal nice and relaxed with nice music . A nice corner to watch the matchs . Get rid of this piss head mentality.

You’d want your head examined to drink cans at the moment. They are 1.01 to be covered in the virus if your lucky. If your not they’ll probably be covered in rat droppings.

I’d like to see something like you see in Italy and Spain. Small pubs with a window bar for 5 or 6 people and you can drink on narrow streets. Obviously this is weather dependent. Lovely way to pass an evening.

Lots of small bars in Spain and Italy seem to survive ok charging a couple of euro for a beer.
Maybe property prices need to fall.
A far more civilised way of life. No need for bouncers on the door then either.
The fun is gone out of pubs . Looking around town you have cunts off their head on drugs walking around bumping off of ordinary decent people , lads groping women because they have a few drinks in them . It needs to change .
4 or 5 pints on a Sunday night watching TSG was always my favourite time in the pub
