Wow, thanks mate
Usually I wouldnā€™t be bothered about those silly awards but for the year thatā€™s in it thatā€™s a big one,
Sorry @Fagan_ODowd, that sourdough looked great but it wasnā€™t to be for you this time

I got a pint of San Miguel there once. Possibly the worst pint of anything Iā€™ve ever had

Thatā€™s the first English pub I ever stood in. There was a man with a great knowledge of cricket, and often dressed in his whites, who used to occupy a corner seat at the bar.

There was an Irish pub on Tooting Broadway in the 1990ā€™s, can you remember the name of it? They refused to cash a cheque for me in ninety five. Did you ever play snooker in Zans?

I know nothing else about the place, I was visiting my older brother and The Wheatsheaf was his regular. If tis important to ya il ask him, that was his era.
I should have added that the man at the bar, despite his fashion, hadnā€™t held willow in 20 years and had a drink problem, but he was still a fine adornment for a pub with his Wisden knowledge.

There was/is a pub in Coolock once owned by Guinness Ireland called the Sheaf Of Wheat. It was known throughout the Northside as the Whiff of Shit.

There is minimum pricing on the way for alcohol if the law will ever get passed. Everyone on same level playing field then. The customer will be paying 40 euro + for a slab of cans so id say the better margin will be small vs the fall off in volume. Donā€™t think that will be great for off licences. Wont do pubs any harm Id say bit the real winners will be the bootleggers and the drug dealers
