It’s outrageous what is being done but unfortunately no surprise. It’s no longer really about Covid but a dysfunctional HSE that has seen an opportunity to pivot the narrative to health care demand that the public is at fault for and not capacity that HSE is responsible for.

I did say early doors of Covid that the virus was not the crisis, the health system was and now those responsible for the shambolic health system are using this to abdicate any accountability over the mess they have made.

Look at the crisis last year, I think it came subsequently that around 50% of Covid recorded hospital admissions were not admitted with Covid, instead they picked up Covid when they were hospitalised.

It’s merely about shifting the blame, that’s the agenda with NPHET.

The anti-vaxx loons here are only too happy to take their views from cod “nutritionists” and the “wellness” industry.

Orla Hegarty is basically single handedly responsible for securing Government funding towards ventilation.

That’s a real and meaningful contribution towards ending this pandemic, but it’s clearly something you and others here oppose.

But there are no anti-vax loons here.

There are people who quite rightly believe that everyone should be allowed make a choice on vaccination without coercion, bullying or shaming. People who feel everyone’s personal view of vaccination should be respected.

There are zealots though who won’t and want to engage in false labelling of others with a different view, want to misrepresent them, want to coerce, shame and bully those with differing views. These people are not mentally well.

What we know is that after a mass vaccination rollout, for a lot of people 3 jabs in under 12 months, mass uptake (~95% of adults) - we are back at square one.

Only an idiot or a zealot would say that the vaccine rollout has been a success. The zealots are now sore about being made mugs of and want to take it out on the canny operators.
