@Corksfinedtboy is playing 4D Chess on here
I have the below behind one of my TVs to boost WiFi around the ground floor of the house. It is linked by CAT6 cable to the main router, which is in the attic.
The problem is, there is only one Ethernet port on this, so I cannot run an ethernet cable from the the Firestick to it. Would something like the below do the job, running the CAT6 through one port and the ethernet cable from the Firestick through the other?
Or would anybody recommend a router that I could connect the CAT6 to with other ports for separate ethernet cables?
I’d go for a Switch over a splitter.
So the Cat6 would go to one port on the switch , connect the switch to the Cisco Router, then connect your other ethernet cables to the switch?
Basically yeah.
They’d all be on the same network then.
Make sure you’ve enough Ethernet cables
Cheers. The existing WiFI network won’t need any reconfiguration will it?
It shouldn’t…
Why do I always, always, always get the bedroom furthest away from the lift?
Because you’re not disabled or have mobility problems.Or elderly.
Fuck that shit
I’m looking for a pair of ear phones to listen to podcasts while cutting the lawn, ones that won’t need the volume to the top so I can hear them adequately on a safe volume while blocking out the sound of the mower. I’ll be gone deaf if continuing like I did this evening with the volume on the highest level with a cheap €20 pair of buds. Cc @Copper_pipe
Will you have a pint later?
Too right
Just put ear muffs on over your earplugs.
Didn’t @Fagan_ODowd buy a pair of something or other last year. He was raving about them for noise reduction while on the bike.
I bought a pair of Sony noise cancelling ear buds. Two years in I wouldn’t be gone on them but that’s because I discovered that my ears are the wrong shape/size for buds (it’s a genetic issue) and I should have got over ear headphones instead.
Throw up a picture of your ears, will you?
Do any of you know about penetration testing? Christ, that’s a hostage to fortune! Not talking about my thumb up my hole or penetration of any other bodily orifice.
