The missus Aunt lives in the back arse of nowhere. The phone signal is shocking there, to the point she can’t join the family zoom calls they are having these days, so they are trying to figure out a solution.
There is no broadband or prospect of broadband as a solution.
I was thinking satellite broadband but it’d be a bit overkill for what she’d use it for. She has a dongle but it’s the same issue
Do these phone signal boosters work does anyone know and how much is a daycent one if so
they’re saucy enough pal, if she can’t pick up 4g at all there’s nothing really to boost.

You are going to be talking €60 a month minimum probably for any satellite or LTE service.

you’ll be paying upwards of 300 snots for a signal booster and that’s for a shit one.
Would she not be as well off driving to the nearest place with wiffy and parking in the car park?

Worth checking if Imagine has a service there. The best solution is to ask as many neighbours as possible what is working for them

I heard the satellite broadband is fine for downloading, not so good for uploading. Also, because of the distance there is too much of a lag for two way conversations. So correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s not an option.
Has she tried other networks?
Put her Eircode into this and see if any of the providers have any sort of coverage?

That site is a bit out of date. Three have put up masts in random locations, including the rural backwater that I live in. But they’re not the com reg site. It’s been a game changer.
