I’m talking about a 2m patch cable. If you wanted to use your router wifi you can configure most of these to just relay the SSID coming from it. Could work just as well but I prefer not to complicate.

The idea is that you leave the router doing DHCP and routing etc but turn off the wifi. The ethernet cable from the router to the first mesh device will provide DHCP and internet connectivity, and once set up correctly the mesh lads will broadcast a new wifi network, uplinked back to the router through this one ethernet link…

Would be keen to hear @flattythehurdler’s thoughts on all of this.

I paid a nice wedge for a good router recently

You’ve got a Ferrari in the sitting room and a 2018 Renault delivery van out front. You can either carry the goods in and out through your narrow hallway using WiFi or use an automated shuttle system with an Ethernet cable.

Your hallway is your bottle neck. It needs to be the best it can be.

Question for PDF/word experts.

I have a word document that I need to add multiple PDF documents to to form an overall report. So I need to add 6 PDF documents, each about 8 pages each into the work doc at various points and for them to go into the word doc as a page each (ie 48 pages in total). When I try do it in word and insert an object and select the PDF, it only uploads the very first page, not all of them. The word doc will then be saved as a PDF document also. I’m sure it can be done easily with some PDF writer/editor software, but I’d be as long searching for that than someone on here may already know.

Defaulted to safety mode I’d say. You are prompted to turn off safety mode when you download your first piece of new software

It’s very handy tbf, just check the box on what you want and run the installer and it’ll do the rest.

What’s the easiest way to get data from an SD Card. The missus has a new phone, when I insert the SD it says to format it which will result in it being wiped.

SD card into a laptop, data off onto the desktop, then transfer back into the phone*

*I have very little expertise in such matters
