I’m off them 3 years off them I can confirm that I don’t feel a single iota better, not a jot. While I should be theoretically better off cash wise I’m not, the gain of approaching 3st and the 4” expansion to the waistline have caused previously unexpected clothing expenses.

Would you not thank that you’d feel better the morning after a feed of pints without having smoked fags?

I would really have to motivate myself to buy tobacco now. Even the thought of a smoke on a long journey doesn’t do it…I’ll probably hold off until I can visit my family in lombardy…not for a while I suppose.
The only exception is when I occasionally bump into a local celeb at straw, we’ve developed a routine of him telling me I’m not sherman and then giving me a nat sherman cigarette…then he makes some pun relating to an earlier mix up about the art deco sign above dean mcglinchey park…“that’s our deccy” “where?”…“above the entrance”.
The laugh of it is he says I’m the only person he can understand…the last time he asked me to go into the post office and translate for him. I declined, thinking he was joking. I’m not sure though, I could well have shot myself in the foot regarding cigarettes etc
But enough about me.
