Up there with their best I think.

Yet they say they hate it!

I think they said they were miserable recording it in London they said with the legendary Joe Boyd.

Bought my copy of it in 1985. Still have it and play it. I think it and Life’s Rich Pageant are two great records one after the other. The production on Fables mightn’t be to everyone’s taste but it is a great collection of songs.

I’ve gone back to Life’s a lot lately. Great record.

It was a cold British winter yet it’s their most southern US sounding album.

Reckoning and Document are either side of each as well.
