Random Song Lyrics

So here is the idea:

A member posts a random lyric.
First person to respond with the any of the following details scores points.
The song is over when any of the below details are correct. More points go for more detail. the person to post any of details first has the right to post the next song.

1 point each for = Band name, Lyric, Album, Song

The goal of this is threefold:

  1. To get songs in peoples heads
  2. To kill some boredom - [some obvious jokes to be made here]
  3. A possible competition

No search engine-ing. [Have some honour ladies and gentlemen]

Lyric#1: “I’m like and opening band for the sun”

If it takes off I may make a little scoreboard
If it really takes off it’ll be a weekly scoreboard.

No Steely Dan should be a rule aswell.

whats wrong with steely dan?

Don’t you mean Steely Tom?

Lads. Stop ruining posts.

I’ve no fucking clue what the next line is to the song though.

Steely Dan have a couple of great albums SS.

I’m like and opening band for the sun

I don’t have a bog what that’s from and I’m a music nerd.

I’ll take a wild guess at Atari Teenage Riot?

So if no-one is able to identify the last lyric what the fook happens to the thread? It obviously just slips down the page

This is going well isn’t it?

Cluaindulic - its Pearl Jam isn’t it? That should break the impasse.

Agree with SS - No Steely Dan please

My contribution:

“Put me in a cage full of lions, I’ve learned to speak lion, in fact I know the language well, I picked it up when I was versing myself in the languages they speak in hell. That night the silence gave birth to a baby, They took it away to her silent dismay, and they raised it to be a lady, now she can’t keep her mouth shut”

Fitzy has it.
Band: Pearl Jam
Song: Push Me Pull Me.
Album: Yield
Lyric: Push Me Pull Me

Don’t we have to post the next line in the song?

Schoolboy error by Cluaindiuic.

Well the next line was too hard for ye so I’m changing the rules of the game.

EDIT: Rules updated.

Like a dog lying in a corner
They will bite you and never warn you
Look out
They’ll tear your insides out

PULP Common People

your turn now then runtie I presume…

We need a cap.
I’m suggesting we start with 3.
If it gets going we can add more but for the moment it’s 3.
Otherwise it’ll just get messy and too hard to manage.

  1. Runt is on the clock to add a lyric.

  2. Fitzys one above is still alive.
“Put me in a cage full of lions, I’ve learned to speak lion, in fact I know the language well, I picked it up when I was versing myself in the languages they speak in hell. I’ll use the a search engine for administrative purposes to find the answer cos Fitzy is probably in bed.
If nobody gets it by 1pm. I’m declaring it dead and adding a new lyric.

  3. One more person may begin a stream.

Does anyone else now have Common People in their head?

Jesus that’s anal clonduaic, you are getting towards IOTM territory now with all these rules. It’s the internet ffs, it’s not real life. I’m in the office here today. We have rules, policies, and procedures. I don’t go on the fucking internet for more of the same, I go on it to get away.

For serious music fans only:
