Have had more traps with Nutella on them laid since I got OâCallaghan, with one in the same place in front of the hot press where all three so far were caught. No sign of anything so far.
Get some tracking powder and a UV torch - find out where coming in
Keep UV torch away from your bed
Underandovers are a bit heavier do there would be less recoil felt from them. Ideal when youâre firing lots of shoots. Side by sides are lighter.
If you used a side by side at clays for instance the shoulder would be pucked off you.
Iâve caught about 6 of the fuckers in the past couple of weeks

Side by side in my house. No chance of it being used for clays anyway.
We had one mouse about two years ago. I saw it twice and it was never seen again.
Lifted up the shore covering at the back of the house there. There are two pipes going from the house into the main sewer which serves the street. One has a bit of a hole underneath it. Iâm identifying this as a possible rat run. Still beats me how they got upstairs as there wasnât sight, sound nor smell of them downstairs at any stage. Youâd smell ratâs piss, right? Canât smell it upstairs either. The house has been rat-free for 27 hours now.
Iâve half a notion I heard a trap going off in the neighbourâs house yesterday. Not sure whether to discuss the matter with them for fear they might think that I was claiming they are source of the problem.
the house is not rat free sid. All that has happened is that the remaining rats have copped on that their more noisy dumb brethern have been bumped off. The remaining ones are those who are less stupid.
Who knows. No sign for 53 hours though.
it would be highly unusual for you to have nailed them all that fast.
they are clever bastards which is why they have survived this long.
rats only live 18 months to 2 years in the wild so they breed like fcuk.
there is access from outside into your hotpress so you need to find that and block it or their grandchildren will be back. you also need to get a professional to find their runs and bait them so they don`t get into the living area again

Not doubting any of that. Have looked in the attic and found two shadows of what looks like dried piss in the loft panels (although there is no smell from it and Iâm pretty sure that at least one was there previously) so am presuming they must have got in there somehow. Strangely the poison I left up there has been untouched whereas it was mostly eaten in front of the hot press. Iâve got rid of the first wave, but bloodthirstily await the inevitable arrival of the new wave.
If heâs found the run he might have stemmed it
So what youâre saying is that King Rat has relayed the message that Iâm not to be messed with?
The hole you found in the external gully may have been the access , if you blocked that and were lucky enough not to have trapped one inside you could be in the clearâŚotherwise dial rentokil
They have been dialled but couldnât get up off their lazy asses to get to me on Friday.
I feed wild cats, there are always a few around. Never had a rat or mouse.
Left the house for the night and hope to find it still rat free come 2 pm tomorrow. Traps and poison still laid out.
Make sure the traps and poison arenât within reach of comatose girls brought home from outside Flanneryâs, pal.
all this talk of rodents makes me think I need to put a rodent prevention plan in place. I remember a long campaign to rid my 4th floor apartment of mice a few years back. I am after moving into a house this week. last thing I want is another invasion.
I was thinking of getting a cat as part of my rpp. Problem is although I am around most of the time but not the whole time. Poxy cat would probably fuck off on me.
Had a guy in this morning blowing smoke up the drain. Quoted me 800 to repair a couple of holes in it. I think Iâll take my chances.
Realised this morning the rats are after fucking up the central heating, the fucking cunts.
