When you look out can you see rats strolling around the back yard Larry. If you can , get the fuck out because the only reason they would be in such plain sight is if the place was riddled with rhem.
While I havenāt seen more than one at a time I reckon I have seen at least two different sizes. They have dug a hole near my shed. Just broke up one of those poison tablets and put it right beside the shed (heroic bravery I know).

No. Not if you live in a dump. Any where else and Iād be worried. If these cunts are marching around in broad daylight you have big problems pal.
You would see them from time to time but yea it would be unusual to see them. Certainly more than one out in broad daylight.
if you can see them it means there are hordes of the fuckers. they are incredibly secretive animals. you could have them around the place and even in the attic for years without knowing they were in it until it becomes overcroweded because they have evolved to leave no sign of their prescence. if you are seeing them out in daylight you have so many of them that the younger and older ones can`t compete for food during the night.
get professionals in dont mess around, then get a small dog and always break up pellets so they cant take it off and eat it bit by bit. you don`t want them getting sick surviving and developing immunity.
even if the dog is useless the rats see it as a predator.
also if you have anyhting leaning against your house or shed clear it away. they don`t like to trvel in the open so stuff against buildings ceates runs for them.

I was told by pest control guy that if they were in attic Iād know about it as they are loud fookers. am concerned that there are shit load of the fookers all right but could it not just be the two fookers taken all the poison? farmer behind me has just ploughed field so no doubt that has disturbed them.
By the sounds of it Iād guess there are dozens, if not hundreds of them there. Mate works for Rentokil, some of the fucking stories he tells meā¦ugh skin crawling thinking about it.
One thing you need to be very careful of is that they donāt come up through the toilets and into the house. Make sure you keep toilet seats down
