RAVENOUS (Part 1)

Good petrol station fare there but where’s the spuds and veg?

Did you ask for no veg and extra chips?

Could you peel off the gravy and check what’s underneath?

I’d often have a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes at 8pm before a night out to fool my body into thinking it’s breakfast time.

I won’t eat again today, my clarity of thought will be off the charts tonight

I do something similar myself

A small bowl of bran flakes around 7:15am

Huel at 10am

Sandwich with soup or a salad around 1:30pm

Huel again that evening and that is me. Might have a yougurt or banana at 6pm if going playing a match or training to tide me over.

Some lads are prisoners to food.

You’d see lads queuing for scones at 10am and the stomachs rattling off them… the bowl of cheap carbs they had at 7.30am spiked their insulin and put them in savage bad from from 9am onwards. They think a scone will solve their problems but its only short term fix, the fidgeting begins again around 11.30 and all clarity is lost as the brain moves to thinking about a chicken roll for the next 1.5 hours… and the beat goes on.

The amount of time you can free up in your day with a little discipline and proper eating is savage. Monday to Friday my first meal is 1pm and the last one is 7pm.

I only have 2 meals myself these days… First around 12-1pm … Some fruit around 3 and dinner around 6-7.

I’ve done two 24 hour fasts recently… 7pm-7pm and have one meal to break it and that’s it then until 16 hours later the next day. You’d feel great after it but more importantly, you’re not craving food every couple of hours in the days after it… It really breaks the cravings we have come accustomed to… I eat on my own terms now.

That’s 3 meals a day, fruit is food and a lot of fruit is high in sugar.

The choice of food when breaking the fast can have a big impact on how you feel after. Meat and veg all the way. Fuck the carbs. Lads sitting on their holes punching keyboards for a living dont need carbs.

1 piece of fruit…id call it a snack but if you need to Box it away as a meal go for it.

I’m only doing 2 meals a day the last few weeks as well and of my 14 meals a week I am aiming for minimum 10 without carbs. Sticking to it so far but more difficult to do as I am travelling with work a bit lately. I’ll do it for another 4 or 5 weeks and see what the outcomes are.
