RAVENOUS (Part 1)

Thought that was a lovely pop there mate. I haven’t had a Supermacs since 2019. Five vegetarian dinners in last eight days. I’m a new man.

Stew was unreal, made a lovely salsa also … Unbelievable tekkers.

I’ll probably make a bit of guac tomorrow for lunch, pal I’ll send you a photo. Keep at it though I’m sure it tasted ok despite the presentation.

It just wasn’t green , everything else was bang on.

I’m a weak man, first food I’ve eaten in a long time that wasn’t made at home

Where’s it out of?

You can get decent avocado’s in most shops… If you’ve any patience just buy a few of them a bit green and lob them into a brown bag…

That’s savage…for how long did you leave that on barbecue?

It was over the direct heat as per the photo just for a few mins each side to get a bit of a sear going. Then I moved it over to the indirect heat and closed the lid, adding extra coals after 30 mins. All told it was probably on for just over an hour but it would have been fine 5 or 10 mins less.

Lovely

They look great, where are they from?

I treated myself to the m&s wagyu rump steak tonight. I made the mistake of of giving a bit to fussy eater Madame. She was lurking at the table like a dog for the rest of it. Now she’s got a hankering for wagyu every day

Expensive tastes she has :+1:

They are from Higgins Butchers at suggestion of @Spidey. Ordered the steak box online and delivered today - 2 striploin, 2 rib eye and a porterhouse - 50 euro. Will BBQ Friday.

Red meat is so 20th century.
