I was very disappointed. Letting it in too long can easily happen though nothing to be ashamed of. I’m sure a good dollop of gravy and it was grand

How many spoons of bisto would you put to a pint? It says 4, but I’d always throw in another half a spoon at least. You wouldn’t want it that thick that the spoon would stand in it, but you wouldn’t want to be ating water either.

Maybe of a day I was going footing turf or something. I don’t eat much spuds
I had my first Irish new potatoes of the new season with the beef. I sourced them in specialist local food retailer Ardkeen stores. They were from South Kilkenny but they were still beautiful.
