I had Canneloni with a side of chips in the Venice restaurant in Galway today. It was savage comfort food.

I was at a shindig in the Tralee area last night. We decided to go for a bit of grub somewhere first and we drove out to Fenit to the West End.

Lovely grub out there looking out onto Tralee Bay. We had Prawn cocktail, crab bake, a warm seafood platter and two desserts (pavlova and cheesecake) with 2 pints of guinness a glass of white wine and two coffees for 67 euro. A righr bargain really considering the quality and freshness of the grub.

Well worth a spin out if in the locality.

I are in a place called heather in the gap of Dunloe today, absolutely fantastic cafe grub in tne Avoca style, I had a Reuben and the chowder.

Been there a few times. Lovely place. Food is better than Avoca IMO. There is a similar spot in Ballyseedy garden centre on way out of Tralee which is great as well

@Copper_pipe reminded me earlier that I had an air fryer, I had forgotten about it the last few months but as promised I rocked it out a while ago and cooked real chips in it from three spuds. I fried a few sausages and black puddings to go with the chips. And a mug of milk as I am gone full on roaster here tonight.

No eggs??

I’m giving up cow dairy in the coming days… Wheat/gluten too as best I can.

Goat’s dairy is a hell of a lot more compatible with the human digestive system than cow is… Cow dairy does untold damage to us, it’s mental.

Surprised to see them doing pudding on platters now
