Ravenous

Could have gone in the things that are wrong thread but here it belongs. Having just come home not having eaten since abowl of noodle soup at 1am I found an empty house and nothing but the arse of a salad in the fridge. Unperturbed I hit the emergency press for heinz beans(exotic treat that they are) and proceeded to dump the leftovers of the salad in.

Gorgeous doesn’t come close.

Washing it down with a nice cold Yanjing beer.

That’s just rough. I presume you are pished

That sounds vile, I’d say he’s off getting the stomach pumped as we speak. I think I’ll throw on some chicken strips and have them in a wrap with ketchup and mayo. Get up outta that

can’t pay for petrol without meeting a cracking offer on some 2 for the price of 1 chocolate…always end up making a purchase and then not being able to sleep for hours after…

I ate a 12inch pizza and a bag of chips at 10.30pm and i’m seriously in bits now…

You’re one seriously hungry cunt

You got me there.

But, i bring it on myself. Maybe this guy could help:

In a fit of madness and special offers I decided to give monster salads a go for a few days. They were serious jobs to look at, lettuce, tomatoes, baby potatoes, mushrooms, onions, nuts and a fillet or two of fish or chicken on top of them.

A fucking disaster. I was back on the sirloin today. What’s the fucking point if you’re starving an hour later, no matter how much of the stuff you eat! To hell with healthy living. They got two days out of me but that’s their lot.

You can’t really beat the steak WTB. A few weeks ago i went the whole week eating a steak every day for my dinner.

Are there any nutritionist’s or general knowledgable foodie people on here?

I wouldn’t mind finding out what i should eat and what i shouldn’t etc. My diet is something of a horror story at times.

I was eating steak at least four nights a week for the last two or three months. But, with variety being the spice of life and all that I decided to give something else a shot. Living with women so they’d always have some other shite on the go so you’d be thinking there might be more out there. Anyway long story short it turns out that steak, in fact, is the spice of life and not variety.

How would you have your steak WTB? I know you like it rare but would you fry it, grill it, braise it etc? I like to fry it up with a few onions myself…

I’m still experimenting with getting it just right, but at the moment I’d rub a bit of black pepper and salt into it and then a coat of oil. Then either fry or grill on a bed of onions. I generally fuck away the onions then and cook a mix of mushrooms and onions seperately (the juice that runs tends to ruin any veg that’s with it). Hard to get it just right for medium rare but when you do it’s incredible. I must do a bit more research on it because it’s worth getting right. Have a look at that Heston Blumenthal’s (In search of perfection fella) method. Takes about two fucking days.

It is impossible to cook a steak at home properly. What the fuck are you at even trying,

:guns:

You are obviously shit at cooking.

I cook a savage steak. A couple of tips I use:

  • leave the steak out at room temperature before cooking (30mins - 1hr)

  • lightly coat the steak with olive oil instead of putting oil into the pan

I’ve no respect for anyone who grills a steak…fry the bastard on a high heat for about 5 mins either side to lock in the juices…keep turning…then leave it fry at lower heat depending how rare or well done you want it…

5 mins either side is too long. 3 mins either side max, then leave to sit for a few minutes. Nice red line through the middle of it.

Pepper Sauce or Garlic Butter?

Pepper sauce all the way here, and proper dark brown pepper sauce not that creamy, white pepper sauce shit.
