Ravenous

Had two fine big cumberland sausages which I browned in the pan and then roasted in the oven with some Onion, Pepper and Oregano. Accompanied with some wedges and beans

Im after a grand feed of chicken jalfrezi there. Used Loyd Grossman sauce. Very nice, I’ll be using it again for sure.
Snacking on a bag of salted roasted pistachio’s now and have a bag of malteesers to go with the tea later.

Had a fine piece of Halibut earlier. Dipped in lemon juice, then in seasoned flour and fried in the pan.

The Grossman Sauces are good but very oily

Strange evening for the eats for me. A good bowl of soup followed by some ryvitawith hummus during the first half. I’ve just slapped some lamb pieces spiced with cumin and coriander in the oven.

I’ve just spoken with your wife on this and she seems concerned you have deviated from an agreed recipe with the lamb. You better take it out of the oven before she gets home.

Meat feast pizza, garlic bread, mini rolls…

The agreed recipe was a lamb and date tagine. It required an overnight marinading. The results will be known in about 20 mins. I’ll let you know.

While that’s usually par for the course with Rocko, his best efforts were thwarted by my culinary genius on this occasion. I reached a new level this evening with a tagine par excellence. Fucking gorgeous.

My flatmate must be the noisiest kunt in the world when cooking. Banging plates, dropping forks. Fucker started whacking pork chops with a saucepan today to ‘tenderise’ them. Portugese spastic.

You’d think it was about time now you bought a sprawling estate with room for a gallop somewhere near Bulgaden or Knocklong etc.

An evening repast to savour this evening. A warm red lentil salad with a yoghurt and gosts cheese sauce. Suprisingly tasty. Topped with some leftover lazi-ji, a spicy chinese chicken dish. Fuckin delicious.

Had a few pancakes there this morning as part of a charity morning in work. Quite a nice selection on offer from the assorted ladies in the office who put on the spread, looking forward to a couple more of my own later on.

If I remember correctly there’s a few pancake afficionado’s on the board. I presume Rint has the pancake mix in the fridge overnight as ususal?

I’m looking forward to the pancakes tonight alright. My housemate whipped up a big bowl of batter last night. I’ll be getting a block of HB and some nutella to go with the first few then tear into a few lemon and sugars and then honey and hazelnuts for the last few.

Good pancakes are a thing of beauty. Was it Dunph on here a while back posting about eating those prepacked supermarket bought pancakes? Anyone eating those should be permanently barred from this thread. As should anyone making them using that premade mix where you just add water or milk.

The batter has to be made from scratch. Anything else does not qualify as a proper pancake.

Is Dunph having Crepe Tuesday?
