Easy enough meal prepared tonight from Superquinn steak and wine sale:
Two average sized fillet steaks brushed with olive oil ad chucked on a hot pan, hand cut OVEN chips with rosemary and salt, and roast tomato with oregano and pepper. Piece de resistance was home made bearnaise sauce with reduced shallots, white wine vinegar and white wine mixed with an egg yolk and then whisked with hot butter and tarragon. Obiligatory glass of half price chateauneuf de pape. Stick a fork in me I’m done.
Munchies ice cream bar winking at me in the fridge.
Nolans of kilkee has to be the best deli in Ireland to get a roll. For a large roll they cut a French stick in half and fill it up with whatever you want. I got a bit of mustard and relish, turkey, ham, beef, Swiss cheese, egg salad, tomato and red onion. Went and cut the beef and cheese for me no bother. Cost 4.20. A bag of taytos complemented the meal nicely, as the dunph might have said.
