Next time you are in the Limerick market sniff out the falafel stall - unreal.
lovely bowl of spelt pasta and glass of red wine now
I have adopted the Mediterranean way of life recently, it is unreal, for instance drinking good red wine with my dinner, if you swish it around and then ate a few mouthfuls it really brings out the flavour of the food, unreal so it is
licked the plate
I’d believe it, bro. There’s a guy up in the Galway market that knocks them out of the park as well.
Would you not be better off putting the wine in a glass.
Anyone ever make their own falafels?
Much to it?
I did. Once you have all the ingredients it’s not too bad but it’s a bit of work. I made them twice but couldn’t be arsed after that.
Just had a lamb shank on a bed of lentils and veg. Delicious.
Found a recipe and and am in the middle of making them very little to it
Let us know if you keep it up. There’s a brand called florentin I think that does decent ones. I buy them.
Marinaded chops on the bone, portobello mushrooms, spuds, onions, and tomatoes, all done on the BBQ last night. Unreal. Chicken, chorizo and red wine stew in the over at the moment, expected outcome: unbelieveable.
Unbelievable is the first word in my mind when I see your posts.
strawberries and cream now, I can see why it is such a wonderful dessert favored by the British
let me know how you get on
They were only alright, did them in the oven as a I don’t have a deep fat frier

Will add more seasoning next time
Grand feed there earlier, steak, spuds, carrots and parsnips, onions and a nice pepper sauce. Ya can’t bate it
Did you buy that in Smyths?
No. Higgins. They do good lamb shanks.
If you want a decent shoulder of lamb hit Smyths.

Higgins are better butchers all around.
Yes, but pricey. I have long had the benefit of the largesse of one of their number but many of their gourmet items are overpriced. Juhy senior has always told me that one of the important things in life is to get to know your butcher and to let him know you know your meat.
