This is a recurring theme of your nights out runt.
I have small man syndrome. Although I do believe that night I was in the right.
Serious feed there for lunch:
- 3 thick slices of pork
- 2 big spoons of mash
- a roasted carrot and parsnip
- Ball of stuffing
- 2 roast potatoes
- smothered in gravy.
I’m fit to burst.
Where was this Runt? Not bad for a starter at all.
Yeah, what had you for the main course Runt?
A great little cafe across from the hunt museum. Cafe Solo (you might know it as Danny’s). It was €7.50 for that feed. You can get Soup & sandwich for less than a fiver as well.
I had a coffee for the main course.
Has anyone ever ate Couscous?
I’ve never tried it but purchased some earlier at my local supermarket. What would people suggest eating with it or can it be ate on its own?

moroccan lamb
Interesting…
It’s possibly a bit exotic for my pallate, what about chicken?
Actually, where would i get Moroccan lamb anyway, besides Morocco of course?

I don’t know NCC, i’m sure it would be glorious and all but it seems like a lot of effort, and i’m a busy man.
The couscous i bought is in a packet and it just has to be boiled and fluffed out. I might buy a half dozen or so lamb chops though to accompany it as a compromise…

get a decent sauce too as it would be a bit dry otherwise:thumbsup:
Sure that would only take 15mins to prepare. You’ll have plenty of time to lock threads between cooking and eating.
What kind of sauce would you suggest?
I have two packets of the couscous - lemon & corriander flavour and thai style curry flavour.

I had some of that lemon couscous recently. It tasted like washing up liquid. Your better off getting plain couscous and making up a sauce to go with it
CousCous is alright.
I like to chop up a bit of tomato and cucumber and throw them in with it.
Just had a T-bone steak there and to be honest it was pretty disappointing. I was ravenous though, so wolfed it down regardless.
I have bags of Monster Munch, Hot lips and Cheese & Onion taytos in the press for later as well.
I’m not a big fan of lemon flavoured anything because of that. I do love a squeeze of a lemon slice on fish though.

+1
I had the curry style flavoured couscous with two lamb chops and an onion earlier.
The couscous did indeed taste a bit like washing up liquid, and it wasn’t even the lemon and coriander flavoured option.
I wouldn’t be a fan, though it was cheap shop bought stuff in a packet and i’m sure the real thing would be much better.
The chops and onion were superb.
Keep it simple. Barbequed Seabass with Garlic butter and lemon.
Just after a noble bit of Chicken Chausseur and am washing it down with a mug of tea and a slice of Artic Log…
