Ravenous

Diet Coke has aspartame, which has serious question marks over it. Also, it has many of the same effects on the body as regular sugar.

Anybody looking to shed weight would do well to forget about the obsession with fat and look to break the sugar addiction - impressive results within 1 month. Cut out all food with added sugar to start - it means reading labels and, on a first principles basis, cutting out processed foods. Most people do not have the mental strength to stay the course. Those that do, will never look back.

There are a lot of question marks over aspartame alright, but very little proven as far as I know. It is an approved additive. Neither are good for you, but I am highly doubtful that the sweeteners in a Diet Coke are more harmful than the 300+ calories of sugar in a regular Coke.

There’s videos on youtube. Looked at one a few weeks ago. There’s far, far too much work involved for my liking.

Cooked a pot of turkey and black bean chilli last night to eat for lunch. Brown rice and peas to go with it. Cracking lunch. It’ll do me tomorrow too and I’ll have two portions to freeze for future lunches too.

Great stuff. That’s cheered me up no end.

Throw up a recipe there, pal. That sounds like a slow cooker idea.

Sounds like peasant food. Who the fuck has rice with chilli??? Rice is for the lowly field hand.

I’m off bread, rice, pasta and spuds for the last week. I want a pot of something I can do up for lunches, I won’t be having the rice. I’m also giving myself a sugar ban. I have considered doing your 16/8 for the last day or so but I’d box the fucking head off someone if I hadn’t eaten by 11a.m.

Start your 8 hours at 10am and finish it at 6pm

Could I still only have 2 meals though? Breakfast and dinner?

You don’t have to have only 2 meals - you have an 8 hour window to eat - but just don’t over eat, pal.

Pretty basic chilli recipe pal. Fry onions and garlic, brown the mince, mix and add chopped chillies, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, bay leaves (unless you’re some sort of weird freak with a strange aversion to bay leaves), salt, pepper, tin of tomatoes, tin of tomato paste. I also added two large carrots that needed using up. Simmer for 30 minutes or more. Rinse a can or two of black beans and stir them in at the end. Top with fresh coriander. A squeeze of lemon or lime wouldn’t go astray. There you go, an extremely healthy lunch for you.

Turkey and mince… what a roaster. You’ll be dead in two years

Ok I’ll try 10 to 6 next week and see how I go and report back.
