Al Gore was shafted

It did. I got the phone in September 99 with the student account in the bank. A Phillips phone. Had a belt clip initially like a proper roaster. After a month or two we realised we could text for free. Eircell had basically allowed everyone get hooked on text messages before they made them 10 or 20p a pop by late 99/early 00. I went to Canada in summer 01 and they didn’t know what texts/ SMS were. We were ahead of the game

He was. He put a phone in all our pockets. I’ve still the same number

I’ve still got the same one too. 087 if you went AIB and 086 if you went BOI.
