Reeling in the years

Ben Dunnes defence solicitor is the states was called Harold Butchslaughter. What a name.

This show scares me at times. The Lightening Seeds playing now - 19 years ago, fucking hell. Also that dance song ‘it’s gonna be a fine night tonight, it’s gonna be a fine day tomorrow…’

And that unforgettable concert by Daniel O Donnell.

Good times :frowning:

It is in my hole. There may be lightning though.

1988 on here. Jaysus it was grim.

I know. Not a court to be had

80s always look grim

Was it the stonewashed denim or the murders in the North?

Paisley getting frogmarched out of the European Parliament was gas .

Boris Yelstin too pissed to get off the plane in Shannon there.

Albert Reynolds took it in his stride. A real pro

I started work in 96. By 99 the country was a completely different place. The mid to late 90s was the high water mark of Western Civilization

I came home from Germany in 95 and started work in Dublin. It was a glorious place to ,live back then. Innocent enough for people to slowly start enjoying the start if the boom but slowly coming to the realisation that the something big was happening. By the time I got married in 2000 the place had turned into an overpriced , overhyped congested kip.

You’d never get tired watching the last 5 minutes of the 1994 All Ireland hurling final. Its comedy central
