It’s about time that someone in the government figured out that the NGOs aren’t their mates.
The recent U.N. social “report” on Ireland was hilarious. Sounded like a massive junket over in New York. A couple of dozen Irish NGOs who get State funding there to bash Ireland.

You kind of knew over the last couple of weeks.
During the last couple of referendums there was almost daily opinion polls that strengthened the government’s and the establishment’s viewpoint.
They hardly ran one over the last few weeks, privately they must have known what was coming.
