Sorry to hear of the family loss pal. Can I ask, are your parents not going due to safety concerns? Are you staying with your parents at the moment? If so, isn’t it is just as dangerous for you to go and possibly bring it back?

Funerals at the moment are a sad one. Hard to know the right thing to do. If you go, a black suit would be overkill IMO.

Nope I’m home on my own. I’m going to drive as there won’t be any traffic in and around Dublin and I’ll be able to go up and down in the one day. I wouldn’t be overly keen on Irish funerals myself but that’s a personal thing. I think a few will go to the mass and a few to grave. So gives a chance of a few people in the family to say their good byes.

Very funny stuff. my uncle passed away who lives in south Dublin. I’m the only one living at home at the moment so I want to go to the funeral to represent my parents. I don’t have any experience of driving in and around Dublin. That’s why I needed the luas. There’s a lot of heartless individuals on here. I’ve always done my best for people on here I thought were in trouble or in any bother. You lads aren’t very nice at all.

I’d agree here. A black suit is really only for chief mourners. Just be well dressed in a dark colour and that will suffice.
