Republic of Ireland WNT - We're all part of Vera and Tony O'Donoghues Army

I suppose it would be the fact they were a criminal murder gang.

Without the romantic little guy charm of the Hutches.

They learned from the very best I suppose.

Most of Ireland does if you go back far enough. Apart from places like yours where brothers marry their sisters, if they haven’t become sexually attracted to a dog or a sheep, and to be fair on average around eight of ten fellas down your way don’t.

Hmm very concerned with my geographical profile which has me wondering… why did you flee the capital mate? We know it’s not employment related so who are you hiding from out West? Only a certain type of profile would need to pack up and move where nobody would know them, a seemingly odd individual with severe social awkwardness who spends hours on end on the internet…

Its madness that a song about a soccer club in Glasgow founded by irish immigration could cause so much hassle. Those outraged must be rangers supporters or something, the only irish supporter i know of is a former sports journalist

I think the Up the Ra stuff is becoming a bit too commonplace personally

I happened to be sitting beside a Celtic season ticket holder wegie on the plane. He was genuinely an absolute gentleman. He said he was getting tired of all the “IRA shite” surrounding Celtic. “it’s a glasgae fitba club” he said. “some of them need tae grow the fuck up”

Good post. You have the Sky lad, loads of Brits and load of apes on twitter and @dodgy_keeper who think it’s an ode to Irish patriotism and just don’t know the story with it

@thelimericks are really after losing the rag overnight.

There is a fella typing lyrics and shouting up the ra for 36 hours now, others lowering the blade and reintroducing the stalking to Australia rebuttal, wev gone down the no job benefits scrounger route and another fella then slagging a serious medical issue.

The herd mentality is in full flow here

They’ve driven themselves absolutely demented. I’d say none of them could have even pointed out Northern Ireland on a map until this week.

No explanation @Cheasty? The resident Chief crawlers @carryharry & @gilgamboa have been called in to nobody’s surprise anyway, you know someone is getting absolutely rinsed when you see that

No there is a few “real hurling men” there who would have gone on a piss up to a national league match in Belfast 15 years ago to bolster their “real hurling men” credentials

And Limerick beaten out the gate…

I always remember the celtic symphony song having a much slower chorus (the here we go again not the ra bit). There was a bit of count in to it too. The Wolfe tones version on Spotify is far too fast.

The matchgoing fans in Glasgow must be a bit perplexed when the Oirish Daytrippers arrive and culturally appropriate their club.
