Retiring GAA Stars tribute thread - May cause brain/neck damage

that’s a startling statistic

Find it crazy that so many media outlets are reporting that he won 5 all Irelands, surely 2014 doesn’t count FFs sake

I thought none of them counted because they didn’t beat Tyrone?

Oooooft

I’d hardly expect an old irish pub talking myopic fool to understand skill acquisotion science either

I’m sure colm will rest easy tonight knowing he has 4 all Irelands over his 16 year career while Tyrone have 3 since the beginning of time.

I knew he was near the end when in the club final he decided to call up the keeper to kick a 40 yard free wide…the only decision the old gooch would have had to make was which foot to stick it over the black spot with. .a player capable of a moment of brilliance more than being consistently brilliant. .best finisher I ever saw, made it look so easy off either foot…

I’d say near half of that total was scored in the two finals against poor auld Mayo!!

He couldn’t exactly have refused to play in them simply because some teams weren’t fit to make it there!

0-11 of it was scored against Tyrone.

And he was blind in one eye for one of those games

Oisin McConville only scored once, a goal, from play in two All Ireland finals. He scored 0-3 from frees against Tyrone in 2003 and 1 free and 1 '45 against Kerry in 2002.

You could argue that.

You could also argue that he had bottled chances as well. Go to 4 mins 25 seconds.
