One of the greatest of all time. Thanks for the memories Darren.
Surely pulling a fella down doesn’t count as a touch of the ball
A legend of the game. RIP
That was an incredible intervention to make. It was the little things that kept Dublin getting over Mayo in those days.
Love the way The Auld Triangle comes on the loudspeaker at full time. Days of thunder as Roy Curtis would say.
Buttsy mainly.
Ballymun Davey Byrne is lots of things but harmless is not one of them
Pathetic
I was thinking of the Naomh Olaf version!
Did a Davy Byrne play in goal for Dublin footballers between John O Leary and Cluxton ?? Think he played v Kerry in thurles in 2001
He probably got lost in thurles and never made it back
Cricked his neck watching Maurice Fitz’s sideline going over the bar and was never the same again
Yes. He was the keeper between O Leary and Cluxton. Was there from about 99 to 02
Was cluxton there in 2002 ??
I know he was certainly there in 2003
I think cluxton started in 2003 but not sure
He was definitely part of Tommy’s 2002 side anyway
Think I remember reading in the paper that he made his championship debut in 2001. Definitely remember him being on a Dublin poster in some GAA book in 2002 so he became a regular that year.
Living in Ratoath. Managed them to the County title last year after which the money men shafted him

He got his medicine
Aidan O’Shea will be singing some Garth Brooks again tonight.
Did he retire?
