Give me one moment in time
When I’m more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I’m racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel
I will feel eternity

Never saw the best of him, was cursed with injuries throughout his career

He had an awful run of it. He missed 2018 entirely didn’t he? Could have been the difference that year had he been available…

Ronan McNamee bids farewell

Full page on benny heron’s retirement in yesterday’s irish news.
I suggest that the number of words written about a player’s retirement shouldn’t exceed the number previously written about his entire career

Podge Collins calls it a day. A tireless worker in football he was a great bit of stuff.

Its a pity Davy made a shite of him as an intercounty hurler, he was beautiful to watch. The game changing didnt help either, but give me a stickman like Podge Collins over the 6ft robots any day of the week.

Was a beaut of a hurler, limited footballer but extremely honest and always worked his socks off.

What was the story with Podge, why didn’t he go back to hurling for Clare after Davy went?

Something in me eye here

Some servant. Not much glory in it for the likes of him. He kept them alive in a dark time when most lads would have thrown their hat at it.

Wasn’t expecting to see that Luke Connolly had retired from club and all this morning.

Will you be okay? It’s a lot for anyone to wake up to

History will be kind to Deano.

That equaliser in the 2019 Final after Connolly, Howard, Costello and maybe one more missed was clutch.

And he’ll always have 2017 too.
