Kerry duo Stephen O Brien and Adrian Spillane

Is Adrian Spillane not about 26 or thereabouts?

Only two of Kerry’s 2014 All Ireland winning side remain.

Easy enough one for ye

Geaney and Murphy.

Nah he’s 30. The younger brother Killian is 28. Was in final year of minor when they won in 2014.

James Cha Fitzpatrick too.

And Conor Ryan (Clare).

Worst all Ireland in living memory., absolute disgrace from a footballing perspective .

Thankfully I was blind drunk for it

Rage, rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Great that he got to captain Dublin and lift it after the shite that had gone on before. He won Dublin that All Ireland practically on his own last year.

James had the poorest game of his career in last year’s final. A good year aside from that. A great footballee and a hard man. Dished it out, took it and didn’t pass any remarks.

Ah he set the tone with some big big hits. He bullied the opposition. Its not all about jaunting up the field. A proper leader and knew his influence but didnt shite on about it.

I think James McCarthy is my favourite footballer since Maurice Fitzgerald. Yes, he was hard, but a hugely intelligent player, always influential in every game. He set the tone and went about his business with little fuss. What a player, what a leader.

The Goat.

Lucky to have him
