You realise Dooley has serious back injuries this past 3 years right? Carroll wouldnt clean his boots on records over the past 5 years or so. Offaly have huge work to do to right the underage wrongs there. Its started now mind you.
I didn’t realise that no, but I was never a huge fan of his, just my opinion! I thought Carroll played in numerous positions for Offaly down the years out as far as mid field and always thought he had a serious work rate, attitude and never threw in the towel, well able to take a score - was well worth his all star nomination this year
Carroll is undoubtably a good hurler but nowhere near Dooley ability wise IMO. Carroll stood out this year in a team of duds, but in saying that he hasn’t exactly set the world alight in the past 5 seasons. I would guess most Offaly supporters were probably scratching their heads as to how he improved so dramatically this season.
Declan O’Sullivan. Has been practically crippled the last while by all accounts.

Declan o sullivna was a class act…one of the best ball carriers , soloing with either foot…pre 2011 more than any other kerry player he used to always destroy the dubs, especially brian Cullen…

Well one thing I do understand is the rule in Gaelic Football where you are only allowed carry the ball 4 steps before you have to hop or solo the thing.
Ball carrier - a term you’d expect to hear the likes of Tony Ward or George Hook use about some egg chaser
