Lol I ain’t Kilkenny, far from it, would be delighted to see them out of the championship before July every year if I could!!!
The names of hogan, fogarty, Murphy, Joyce, etc wouldn’t strike the same fear into me as what Walsh, fogarty, hogan, Shefflin or Delaney would…
There was a time when those lads were the same. Shefflin and Walsh were seen as potential sups tard but they had been quitened a few times in the first few years. Confidence and a win is everything.
What’s a sups tard?
Eoin Kelly Best Tipp player I’ve seen and one of the best players I’ve seen. One man forward line for a lot of his Tipp career and unfortunately better players began to emerge around him just as he was declining slightly
One of the best about in his pomp. His performance v Limerick in 2006 was as good a solo performance as I have ever seen.
As regards it being unfortunate that his decline coincided with the emergence of new talent? What was unfortunate about that?

Maybe poorly phrased. If Kelly had’ve been in his prime the last few years I think we would have won a few more All Irelands
But he wasn’t and you didn’t. I often thought the same about Tony Doran in the early noughties. Or maybe if Nickey Rackard was still a viable option for full forward.
Kelly in his prime was absolutely sensational. One of the best forwards I have ever seen.
He has been a shadow of his former self in recent years and probably did stay on too long but he was majestic. At his peak when he got the ball it was almost a guaranteed score. Strong as an ox, lethal off both sides, excellent in the air. Himself and Damien Reale had some ferocious tussles back in the day at both U-21 and senior. Broke my heart in Thurles in 2006 when he beat us almost on his own.
Small difference being the amount of years in the difference
Ignore him, mate. He’s just being obtuse.
Hurling is our religion,
Semple Stadium is our church,
Eoin Kelly is our God.

You gimp.
Fuck sake

I agree with you mate.
Eoin Kelly was a wonderful hurler.
He is a cousin of the Morans in Limerick isnt he?

Which Moran’s? The farmers from Ahane?
Unless you’re so young that you weren’t around to see Nicky English, that’s a faintly ridiculous statement.
I believe Niall is back in training.
I first saw Eoin Kelly play in a Kieran’s v St Peter’s senior colleges match in 1999 when a fellow TFK member was trying to shackle him. Eoin Kelly was a top, top player.
